MUNICH – JANUARY 21, 2019 — Outbrain, the world’s leading native advertising platform, announced today changes to their international business that reflect their ambitious growth strategy in 2019.
As part of this reorganization of the senior management team, Alexander Erlmeier has been promoted as Managing Director, International. Alexander will lead the business for the EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions.
Alexander joined Outbrain in 2012 and has led the DACH business into a high and sustainable growth market with over 80%* reach across Germany.
Outbrain’s DACH success under Alexander’s leadership can be in large part attributed to his committed to delivering an innovative and trustworthy experience to publishers and their audiences as well as a premium inventory to advertisers. The recent rollout of important product innovations further cemented Outbrain as the market leader in the region.
In his new role, Alexander will continue to drive additional sustainable growth and product adoption for all international markets and lead the team to high profitability.
He will focus on sales efficiency making sure Outbrain continues to add value for advertisers, publishers and their audiences. He will report to Eytan Galai, chief revenue officer at Outbrain.

Alexander has more than 20 years of professional experience in the online sector, of which, ten years in tech & consulting and the last ten years in media. He has founded several start-ups and worked for leading international companies such as AOL and Mail.Ru. Before joining Outbrain, Alexander Erlmeier was Country Manager DACH of ICQ and established the brand as the market leader in instant messaging in the region.
